Harold Lee Barnhart of Indianapolis, Indiana went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 21, 2019.
His life was well lived and will be forever cherished in the lives of his beloved wife, of 53 years, Margaret Barnhart; his daughters Susan Barnhart, Ivy (Michael), Meister, and Sharon Barnhart. His four grandchildren who he adored; Derek (Cara) Barnhart, Karina Meister, Michael Meister, and Christian Aldridge. He is preceded in death by his parents Harlan and Luella Barnhart, his sisters, Martha Barnhart and Beverly Osler, and his son in law Charles Aldridge.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God,who loved me and gave himself for me.
Harold was born June 29th 1938 in Masontown, PA. He honorably served his country in The United States Army. Upon discharge from his service, he moved to Northwest Indiana to work for US Steel where he worked for thirty years, retiring as Senior Millwright. While he was in Indiana, he dedicated his life to Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior and served faithfully. His hobbies included Amateur Radio of 67 years, reading, crossword puzzles, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren. No one could make a stiffer cup of coffee than Harold.
His Memorial Service will be held at Heather Hills Baptist Church, 1421 North German Church Road, Indianapolis, IN 46229 on Saturday, August 24th, 2019. Time of Remembrance will be held from 2pm to 3pm. The service will begin at 3pm.
